What to wear: We suggest that you wear comfortable clothing that you can move in without getting irritated or needing to adjust. Socks are not necessary as yoga is typically practiced barefoot.
What you should know: We ask that you leave shoes, cell phones, and personal items outside the studio. During class there will either be a staff person at the front desk or the doors will be locked however, we are not responsible for items that are lost or stolen.
In preparation for a yoga class it is recommended that you do not eat a heavy meal less than two hours prior to practicing.
Studio Etiquette
We ask that you arrive about 10 minutes before class and check in at the front desk. We suggest giving yourself more time if it is your first time at the studio. You will want time to check in, store your belongings, set up your mat, and use the bathroom or fill up water before class starts.
We have a 5 minute grace period after class begins. After this, no more students will be allowed into class.
Out of respect for your fellow students, please silence or turn off cell phones and store outside of the classroom.
Please plan to stay for the duration of class. Each class ends with a period of rest and relaxation that is equally as important as the active portion of class. If for some reason you need to leave early, please set up your mat in the back of the room and inform the teacher before class starts.
We are a trauma informed yoga studio. It is common in some classes for teachers to offer hands-on assists and adjustments. It is important to us that you feel comfortable and safe at the studio. For this reason, we have cards for you to use that signal to the teacher whether or not you would like to welcome this hands-on assistance.
Please respect your fellow students by being compassionate and non-judgemental. This studio is a safe space for all.
Please respect the studio. This means tidying up your space and leaving the studio as you found it.
