AS OF MARCH 15TH 2020, our physical studios in Mashpee and Plymouth are temporarily closed. We have combined both schedules into one virtual studio via zoom.us
Outdoor classes begin July 4th, at the Stage Green, diagonally across from the studio. Please see below for instructions!
Please follow the instructions below to practice with us.
For Zoom
Step 1: Set up an account on the website: zoom.us. Zoom is a video sharing portal that allows us to livestream classes with you. When prompted, you will be asked to provide an e-mail and personal password of your choosing. Please use the email that we have on file at innerglow yoga. You can use your computer or mobile device - sign up here: zoom.us
Step 2: Register for your class as you normally do online through MINDBODY. Select “book” for the class you would like to take. This will officially sign you up and pay for the online class, using your current membership or class card. If you are prompted to pay, you can do that through MINDBODY. Sorry, no free classes at this time.
Step 3: Once we see that you have signed up on the MINDBODY roster, we will email you the zoom meeting ID and passcode. This will enable you to join the meeting and attend the virtual class. Please, sign up at least 30 minutes prior to class on MINDBODY to assure that we can send you an ID code for that class via email to you. *Remember, check your email, including spam for the code.
Step 4: Beginning 15 minutes before the class, you will be able to log into the class via zoom. Your instructor and other other classmates will be there getting set up, just as in a live, in person class. You will be able to see and hear the instructor and other students by clicking on the audio & visual buttons right on the screen.
Step 5: Enjoy class! We can’t wait to see you :)
Helpful Hints For Your Virtual Studio Experience
Create a space for yourself where you can roll out your mat, have a strong wifi signal, and minimal background noise. The teacher will do a brief check-in when you come into the room, so please plan to log on at least 15 minutes before the start time.
Place your screen and mat so you can best see the teacher. It’s a good idea to have some props close by:
A blanket or towel, 2 or 3 for restorative and yin
A couple of yoga blocks or big books
A yoga strap, or belts and scarves work great too
A few throw pillows
If you have a noisy background (kids, pets, family), please mute yourself. We will not play music, but you certainly can on your end. Simply mute your audio. You can also mute the video option. This is interactive, so you can talk to the instructor and she can respond, but remember this is meant to be a class experience, so follow the best that you can.
Please note that some students choose not to share their video, and some do. It's totally up to you.
If your internet connection slows during class, try turning off your video camera so you can still see the class, but the teacher and other people in class can’t see you. This helps decrease the load on your wifi connection.
“Speaker” view allows you to follow the teacher, while “Gallery” view will show the other students in the class. Since a lot of us know each other, it can be nice to connect this way.
FAQ
Can you help me with technical issues?
Generally speaking, no. We encourage you to play with your free Zoom account so you get used to the format. We won't be able to stop class to help you if you are having trouble - if you aren't able to attend or participate, we won't charge you for class.
What if I have a question during class?
Just as in-studio class etiquette, please refrain from asking questions verbally during class time. If there is a technical issue, please email us at info@innerglowyogacapecod.com There will be time before and after class to ask questions and connect with each other, so please use that time to do so.
Can other people see me?
Yes, if you have your camera on. But you can turn your camera off using the video icon at the bottom of your screen if you would prefer that no one (including the teacher) can see you. We tested it - only your name will appear to the other participants.
Are you going to put this up on YouTube or anywhere else?
No. We don't record classes we live stream with students.
For Outdoor Classes
1. All registrations must be made online. If you cannot make it, please let us know by calling the studio 508-477-9642 or emailing Michelle directly michelle@innerglowyogacapecod.com
**Remember, we have limited spots (20 - 25) and if you have been to the studio in the summer, you know that is 1/2 of what our indoor capacity is! Your early cancellation will allow for someone else to practice.
2. Park where you can and sign in with Michelle or your instructor at the stage. We will sign you in and direct you to your designated, innerglow orange bubble. First come, first serve, no sharing bubbles and no physical contact with others.
3. You MUST wear a mask when coming to the Green. Once you get to your bubble, you can take it off.
4. You MUST bring your own mat and any props. We do not supply or rent mats or props. If you want to purchase anything, I will available to assist you, as we have mats and props for sale at the studio.
4. Please also consider a towel to put under your mat. The grass should be dry but having a towel underneath will help keep your mat dry and more stable.
5. Lastly, restrooms will be available at Mashpee Commons, but not at the studio. Plan accordingly.
