We are all made of the five elements: earth, water, fire, air, and sky. Masterful living is achieved when these elements are balanced within. When out of balance, you may feel “contracted” (too much earth), “under water” emotionally stressed out (too much water), unmotivated (not enough fire) or over working (too much fire), scattered and fearful (too much air), or spacey and ungrounded (too much sky).
The Ashaya Yoga® practice brings about a flowing integration of all five elements that leaves you feeling strong, confident, peaceful, openhearted, and ready to engage with life wholeheartedly from a place of worthiness.

Delicious Water: Gentle Yoga and Therapeutics for the Lower Back and Hips
Release strain and stress and allow yourself to enjoy a sequence of flowing, soothing, and restorative poses. Gently open the body and practice therapeutic applications to soothe, restore, and strengthen the lower back and hips in order to flow better with the currents of life. Water always finds its way back to the source – the ocean of consciousness.

Todd Norian, E-RYT 500, teaches yoga with the heartfelt intention to awaken others to their inherent potential for unlimited joy, vitality, and fulfillment. Founder of Ashaya Yoga, Todd’s style is one of precise biomechanical alignment infused with heart. He excels at making deep philosophical teachings accessible and relatable. With warmth and humor, Todd creates a sanctuary of sublime transformation in which students step into the power of their own heart. A student of yoga since 1980, Todd studied many styles of heart-centered and alignment-based yoga. He continues to study extensively with several Tantric scholars, including Paul Muller-Ortega and Professor Douglas Brooks. Todd teaches workshops and trainings internationally and is a talented musician who has created several CDs of music for yoga.

Sound Journey Meditation 3:00-4:30pm
Participants gather in a comfortable position to explore how this healing therapy can have a powerful and immediate impact on the whole body. Bettina will guide those 15 years and older on a unique journey to help stimulate waves of peace and harmony within. A variety of instruments will accompany the singing bowls which will offer healthy effects on the heart rhythm, brainwave rhythms and the nervous system. Mallets are played around the rim of the bowls creating friction. This action produces continuous “singing” tones floating around the room filling space and bodies creating multiple frequencies. The size of the bowls determines their pitch and activates different parts of the body including organs, glands & chakras.
The sound of a crystal bowl also known as a “singing bowl” is unique and healing. A form of a guided meditation, sound baths are safe, natural and relaxing. Made from silica sand (which is pure quartz) crystal bowls produce a vibrational sound. Because we are a high percentage of water and our bones have a crystalline structure, we react to this powerful sound at a deeper cellular level affecting all of our organs.
Comfort is a priority and key to experience healing. Consider bringing a pillow, yoga mat/thick padding, blankets, socks layers of clothing, eye pillow and water to enhance your experience while you rest on the floor. Bettina uses sound as a tool to cultivate and support deep relaxation bringing a participant back to their natural state of happiness. Come feel your life energy awaken as you experience this natural approach to healing.

Bettina first heard the sound of a crystal bowl 8 years ago while healing from the loss of her parents. This life changing experience inspired her to create and share her own style of guided meditations. In 2015, Cape Cod Sound Journey Mediations was born.
Bettina is recognized in the community for her calm and grounding meditative experiences. She offers natural healing through the gentle touch of Reiki, the teachings of Hatha yoga and frequent private/group sound baths throughout the Cape. |

Through thoughtful exercises in journaling, movement, breathwork, and meditation, tend to your seeds of summer that are deep within and examine what you want to give light to and what within yourself you will nourish.
End class with an introduction to the practice of Yoga Nidra. Yoga Nidra, or yogic sleep, is practiced laying down with as much comfort as we can find, using pillows, bolsters, and blankets. Systematically, we bring awareness to sensations, bearing witness to our most inner self. We will practice
yoga nidra for 20-mins in the 90-min class, welcoming deeper rest.

Contemplative meditation, yoga philosophy, and breath work are woven into each class, giving students a wide view of the practice.
This series prepares students for mixed level group classes where students have the skills to modify as needed.

Kirsten's first introduction to yoga was finding a stack of old books and manuals that offered her a glimpse into a system of practice that she deeply recognized. Home practice and self study brought her to a 200 hour foundational training with Diane Kovanda and Kind Yoga School in 2011. Currently, Kirsten studies Embodyoga with developer Patty Townsend, and is working towards her 500 hour certification under Patty's Guidance. Kirsten completed a 90 hour prenatal teacher training in 2017 with Corrine Andrews, owner of Yoga Center Amherst and developer of Birthing Mama, an online program for prenatal yoga and wellness. As a teacher, Kirsten encourages students to find the vibratory qualities of breath and body as an expression of their being
